I am in debt and feel lost

You are not alone. And you don’t have to feel ashamed. This page helps you take the first step.

Clarity and dignity for people ready to start over

🧭 An overview free of guilt:

Take a sheet of paper or open a simple table.

  • Left column: Income – salary, pension, side job, sales proceeds, etc.

  • Right column: Expenses – rent, food, phone, installment payments, etc.

  • Middle column: What remains – or what is missing?

You are free to look without judgment.

🧺 What can be negotiated?

Not everything is fixed. You are allowed to ask.

  • Mark all expenses that are non‑negotiable: rent, electricity, insurance, etc.

  • Highlight what is flexible or negotiable: installments, subscriptions, fees, etc.

  • Write down one company, office, or person you could kindly approach.

🧘  First steps with dignity:

  • Write a calm letter or message to an institution that could support you.

  • Or request a conversation – without guilt, without justification, without demands.

  • Write down one small step you want to take tomorrow.
